Its cheap and fast. Peanut Dumpling Soup is the best.

I ordered the "Ga Xao Cari Thap Cam", which was supposed to be "Curry hicken [sic] with mixed vegetables and coconut milk." What I got was some sad stir fried vegetables with maybe a slice of chicken. It definitely wasn't curry, and there was no discernible coconut. So, despite the fact that they were cheap on the chicken, and hell, didn't give me what I ordered as advertised, it wasn't bad. I got my fill for 10 bucks of mediocre Chinese food pretending to be something else. Overall: typical fast food chinese place that tries to bill itself as many things that is isn't. For what it's worth, my friend ordered the "Crispy Pan-Fried Noodles" which was OK; at the very least, it was accurate to the description.

The worst chinese I have ever had.I basically eat anything and I had to throw it away. don't waste your time, order from one of the other 8 billion chinese in the area.

Amazing dumplings, dinner combo was a ton of food for $8, loved it.

I never had a problem with plump dumpling. Unlike when you're at the dingy restaurant, they're really fast and super nice. In fact, I don't understand how everyone is saying it takes forever. I've ordered from PD like at least 15 times. They've always taken 20-30 minutes since i've called. Anyway, the dumplings are fantastic. :D

Love them! Friendly, delicious, cheap, what more could you want. Pork is the best, not a fan of the veggie but my friends love it.

Meh. The place is right across the street from my apt, and it still took over an hour to deliver. The food wasn't hot, and definitely wasn't worth the wait. Skip this one - you'll thank me.

The food here is decent but not the greatest. Stick with the basics.. The delivery people are very rude and once just left the food downstairs with the doorman and ran away..

BIG PROBLEM !!!!!!!! The food is good but from time to time they forget part of the order. The delivery man who is an older gentleman can be VERY!! rude especially if he is not happy with his tip. He is not content with a three dollar tip for a twenty dollar delivery that is only two blocks away, There are a lot of neighborhoods where people never tip. This is not one of them , but you may turn it in to one.

Best cold sesame noodles in the city! Great steamed pork dumplings! Very reasonable prices and speedy delivery.

I found the dumpling skins a little too thick for my tastes...the filling were okay, nothing spectacular. The chicken wings were dark and super crunchy, so I know they don't change the frying oil often enough.

nothing much. dumplings where not that special and too expensive.

Delicious dumplings and huge menu. One of the better Chinese options in the East Village.

When I placed my order, the estimated delivery time was 30-45 min. Similar to other reviewers, I still had not received my order after an hour and had to call to ask what was going on. I was told that the delivery guy was on his way, and he arrived about 10 minutes later. No silverware, and the containers were sitting in a huge puddle of sauce. Worst hot and sour soup I've had- hardly any pieces of tofu, and zero mushrooms.

The food from Plump Dumpling is actually quite good. I know this because my brother who lives in the apartment next door to mine orders from there all the time. Everything that I had from there before was delicious. Whenever my brother would order, they would be here within 30-45 minutes, but my experience was vastly different. I had a craving for Chinese food and so I used Seamless Web for the very first time to order from Plump Dumpling thinking that I'd be eating in 45 minutes max. An hour went by and then I got a phone call asking what apartment I was in and why I didn't answer. I went downstairs to see if the delivery guy was there; no dice, not even a bicycle outside. I called Seamless Web who promptly refunded my order despite the restaurant not wanting to refund it. So all in all, a very frustrating experience from the restaurant perspective. Seamless Web saved the day though, so props to them!

The food is great but I think I was just assaulted by the delivery man. He did not buzz or call and then proceeded to yell in the hallway incoherently. I was walking to the door when my phone rang. It was him, and he yelled just as loudly over the phone. I'm not sure how he got in to the building, now that I think about it. The food is wonderful, but I won't be ordering from them again.

The food is not good (the dumplings are only so-so, I ordered lo-mein but they gave me rice, the chive pancakes are really, really greasy) and the delivery guys are rude and always seem angry. I've given this place a couple of chances but I won't order from them again.

Some of the worst dumplings you will ever eat. The skin is super thick and you can't taste the ingredients. Delivery is slow. Go to any other chinese delivery place and you can get the same crummy dumplings.

Dumplings insanely good, other food not so much.

dumplings were chewy... general tsos chicken was awful...they also forgot the silverware. will not order again.

Dumplings are very good. Not sure about the other stuff, but ingredients have been fresh so far.

their chicken corn egg drop soup was....sour?! I ended up throwing that away. The dumplings have really thick skin and are rather dry.

Delivery took over an hour. Food was cold when it got there (so much so that the fat at the bottom of the container had resolidified -- eew). The "mixed" dumplings were not 2 of each kind but 5 pork and 3 vegetable. And the fried rice was tasteless. I gave it to my dog.

Do not waste your time or money. Food was mediocre and they sent the wrong dish, and forget our sides. When we called, I was brushed off and told that someone would call me back. 20 minutes later I had to call back to speak with the manager who told me he did not have time to deal with it because he was too busy. I had to call seamless web directly to receive a refund.

The food was almost average; tasty but soggy Vietnamese rolls, good wonton soup but a big wad of bone in one of the wontons. The delivery, however, did not go seamlessly as the deliveryman kept trying to get me to pay cash for the order I'd already paid for through SeamlessWeb, even pulling out his phone to make me discuss the payment with his boss (who agreed it was paid already). After I told the deliveryman it was paid in full for the fourth time, he then asked for the tip in cash (also already paid). Not good.

This is the worst chinese food I've ever had! I've ordered from them before and it was good, but this time the food was undercooked and gross. I almost called them to tell them to come and take it back, but instead I ate it and now I'm sick. Im never ordering from this place again and neither should you.

BEST veggie dumplings I've found above Houston yet - they're huge and incredibly tasty. Plus you cannot beat the 5.50 lunch special!

It's a shame the food from this place is so good and cheap. The service, on the other hand, was horrible. I waited an hour (for noodle soup and dumplings!), before calling the restaurant twice only to reach someone who spoke no english and couldn't tell me a thing about my order. Then when the delivery man finally came he refused to bring the food upstairs and yelled at me to come down to meet him at the front door. The food was still hot somehow and delicious - but next time i'll just pick up from the restaurant instead of waiting for delivery.

I prefer Dumpling Man, but they don't deliver for lunch so when the dumpling urge comes along midday, I opt for Plump Dumpling.

Probably the worst experience we've had at Plump Dumpling. First the food was over 40 minutes late, so we called to see how it was coming. The woman on the phone said the delivery guy was already on his way and it STILL took almost a half hour after that (an hour and ten minutes total from when we called). Our place is 9 blocks away. When the food came, the delivery guy was very rude and in a hurry, but that could have accounted for how long it took him to deliver (maybe multiple deliveries). Then when the food came, my dumplings were cold. Now I'm no stranger to chicken wings with a few stray feathers in them, but each of the 4 wings had at least 10 visible feathers sticking out of them. It was disgusting. Then to top it all off, my girlfriend's dumpling soup had a 6-inch long black hair cooked into one of the dumplings. Too many problems to just be coincidence. Don't eat here.

straight out of HK/singapore. love the open kitchen. noodle soups can cure a cold especially with their chili oil... best dumplings but the dinner combos are also good

DELICIOUS dumplings and great noodle soups. It's really authentic Chinese food, actually really healthy, and not full of sugar and red sauce. I love it.

One star only because the hot and sour soup is good. Everything else is bland. Ma po tofu was tofu only. Shrimp with black beans sauce had no black beans at all. Chicken with vegetables was boring. They ignored notes about a food allergy.

Food was good, but a little cold. Also, they forgot my scallion pancakes.
